Supplier Verification Standards
OOCanada.ca uses the terms “Verified” and “Trusted” in its branding and marketing materials. This document explains what that verification consists of, so buyers and suppliers understand exactly what is, and is not, confirmed by OOCanada.ca before a supplier is listed on the platform.
Before a supplier listing is published, OOCanada.ca performs a basic administrative review, which may include:
⦁ Confirming the business is registered and in good standing in its province or territory of operation, using publicly available government business registries;
⦁ Confirming the supplier has provided a working contact email and, where available, a business phone number or address;
⦁ A general review of submitted content for obvious inaccuracy, inconsistency, or policy violations under Section 4 of our Terms & Conditions.
Verification on OOCanada.ca is administrative only. It does not constitute, and should not be relied upon as:
⦁ Financial due diligence, credit checks, or confirmation of a supplier’s financial stability;
⦁ Product quality testing, safety certification, or compliance verification with any industry standard;
⦁ Confirmation of a supplier’s manufacturing capacity, export experience, or ability to fulfill orders;
⦁ Legal verification of intellectual property ownership over submitted content or product designs;
⦁ An endorsement, guarantee, or recommendation of the supplier, consistent with Section 6 (“No Endorsement”) of our Terms & Conditions.
OOCanada.ca does not continuously monitor suppliers after listing approval. Business circumstances, registration status, and product offerings can change after a listing is published. Buyers should independently confirm a supplier’s current standing before entering into a business relationship.
As stated in our Terms & Conditions, buyers are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence, including verifying a supplier’s legitimacy, product quality, certifications, and suitability, before entering into any transaction. The presence of a “Verified” label is a starting point for research, not a substitute for it.
If a buyer or supplier believes a listing contains false, misleading, or fraudulent information, this can be reported to support@oocanada.ca. OOCanada.ca reserves the right to investigate and, at its sole discretion, edit, suspend, or remove any listing consistent with Section 11 of our Terms & Conditions.
Questions about our verification process can be directed to info@oocanada.ca.
OOCanada.ca reserves the right to update its verification process and this document at any time as the platform evolves.
